The city Clerk-Treasurer is the finance officer of the city. As finance officer, she maintains the accounting records of the city, audits and certifies the expenditures of the city funds by appropriation, is the custodian of all public funds, prepares the city budget and annual financial report, and prepares finance reports as required.

As City clerk, she maintains the records of the Board of Public Works & Safety, Common Council and Board of Aviation, including the minutes, contract files, ordinances, resolutions, and the city code ordinances and resolutions that require Common Council approval.
