The Portland Street Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the city’s streets and alleys as well as a variety of other services associated with the city’s infrastructure and right-of-way.

Duties include:

Street repair and repaving
Snow & ice removal
Street sweeping
Mowing municipal properties & rights-of-way
Leaf collection and composting
